About Blackfalds
Blackfalds has grown quickly, and most of what has been built is new. For permanent lighting that is close to ideal conditions.
New construction means fascia in good condition, consistent rooflines, and subdivisions where the houses were designed within a few years of each other. The channel goes on cleanly, the runs are predictable, and the result looks deliberate rather than retrofitted. It also means a lot of homes on the same street have the same problem — a big, plain front elevation that goes flat the moment it gets dark.
The other thing about a new neighbourhood is that the trees have not grown in yet. There is nothing softening the front of the house at night, and the difference a lit roofline makes is more dramatic here than in an established area.
