What you're actually buying.
Permanent lighting is not a string of bulbs stapled to a roofline. It is a fixed system built into your eaves, and it is worth understanding the parts before anyone quotes you on it.
The short version
What “permanent” actually means
A slim channel is fixed under the eave, once. Individually controlled LED lights sit inside it. A weather-rated controller runs them, and you operate the whole thing from your phone.
That is the entire idea. It stays up through summer, and it is the same hardware doing warm white in March and full colour in December. Nothing comes down, nothing goes into a bin, and nobody stands on a ladder in November.
What it is not: a temporary product left up permanently. Seasonal string lights are built to survive a season, and it shows by the third one. This is exterior hardware designed to stay outside.
The honest limitation is that it follows the lines of your house. It lights rooflines, peaks and eaves beautifully. It is not landscape lighting, and it will not light your back garden.

We have deliberately not printed lifespans, wattages, spacing or app feature lists here. Those are the supplier's specifications, and until we have them in writing we would rather say nothing than repeat a number we cannot stand behind. Cold snaps, chinooks, hail season — exterior products here have to earn their keep. The system is built for year-round outdoor use, and we design and install with drainage, fascia condition and snow lines in mind.
The chinook cycle is the part people underestimate. Melting and refreezing several times a week is harder on a roofline than a steady deep freeze, and it is why we look at the state of your fascia and eavestrough before we quote rather than on install day.

Installation, done properly
Trained crews install every system. They protect your landscaping, keep wire runs clean and concealed, and leave no exposed extension cords behind.
Before they leave, they walk the finished job with you, set up the app on your phone, and make sure you can change a scene yourself rather than reading about it later.

What is permanent outdoor lighting?
A professionally installed LED lighting system that lives under your roofline year-round. A slim, colour-matched channel holds individually controlled LED lights, run from a weather-rated controller you operate from your phone — warm white on an ordinary Tuesday, full colour for the holidays.
Will I see it during the day?

How long does installation take?
Most residential installations are completed in about a day, depending on the size and design of your home. We confirm your timeline with your quote.
Does it work in Alberta winters?
It's built for year-round outdoor use, and winter is exactly when you'll use it most. We design and install with snow, ice, and our freeze-thaw swings in mind.
Can I just have normal white light?
Absolutely — many homeowners run a single warm white most of the year. Colour is there when you want it, invisible when you don't.

Do I have to be home for the quote?
