Privacy policy
Short version: we collect what you type into our forms so we can call you back about a quote. We don't sell it, and we don't track you around the internet.
Last updated 28 August 2026.
This policy explains how Antler Home Lighting handles personal information collected through antlerhomelighting.ca. We follow Canada's Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA) and Alberta's Personal Information Protection Act (PIPA).
What we collect
- What you give us in a form
- Your name, phone number, city, and optionally your email address, street address, postal code, property type, what you're interested in, your timeline, how you heard about us, and any message you write. Only name, phone and city are required.
- Technical details attached to that submission
- The page you submitted from, the site that referred you, any campaign tags in the link you followed, and your browser's user-agent string. Your IP address is used to check the submission isn't automated and to limit repeated submissions; it is not stored with your enquiry.
- Anonymous visit statistics
- We use Cloudflare Web Analytics, which is cookieless and does not fingerprint or track individual visitors. It tells us which pages get read. It cannot tell us who you are.
What we don't collect
We do not use advertising or tracking cookies. We have no advertising pixels on this site. We never ask for payment details, card numbers, government identification, or dates of birth through this website, and we never will — there is nothing to pay here. If a page ever appears to ask you for those, it is not us.
Why we collect it
- To call or email you back about the quote you asked for.
- To arrange and prepare for your design visit.
- To provide service and warranty support afterwards.
- To understand which pages are useful, in aggregate.
- To send you marketing email — only if you tick the box asking for it.
We use it for those purposes and no others. If we ever wanted to use it for something else, we would ask you first.
Where it lives
Form submissions are stored in a database hosted by Supabase in the ca-central-1 region — that is, in Canada. Our website is served and protected by Cloudflare, and email notifications are delivered by Resend. Those providers process data on our behalf under their own security obligations, and may handle it outside Canada in the course of delivering email. They are not permitted to use your information for their own purposes.
Consent and marketing email
Sending us a form is your consent for us to contact you about that request. We will call or email you back about your quote whether or not you tick anything else.
Marketing email is separate. Canada's anti-spam legislation requires us to ask, and we do: the checkbox is unchecked by default, it is never required to send a request, and we record the exact wording you were shown. Every marketing email includes an unsubscribe link that works. Transactional messages — confirming your enquiry, arranging your visit, handling service — are not marketing and continue regardless.
How long we keep it
Enquiries that do not become customers are kept for up to two years and then deleted, so we recognise you if you come back. If you become a customer, we keep your details for as long as we support your installation and its warranty, and afterwards for as long as tax and business records law requires.
Who sees it
Our own team, and the installation crew who need your address to do the work. We do not sell your personal information, we do not rent it, and we do not trade it with anyone.
Your rights
You can ask us to:
- tell you what we hold about you,
- correct anything that's wrong,
- delete it, where we're not required to keep it,
- stop sending you marketing email, at any time.
Ask and we'll deal with it — normally within a few days, and within 30 days at the outside. We may need to confirm who you are before we hand over personal information.
Security
The site is served over HTTPS. Form submissions travel encrypted and are written to the database by our server, never from your browser. The keys that can read that database are held on the server only. We never put your details in a web address, and we don't send your form answers to our analytics.
Children
This site is for homeowners and business owners. We don't knowingly collect information from children.
Changes
If we change this policy we'll update the date at the top. If a change is significant we'll say so on the page rather than quietly editing it.
