Permanent Outdoor Lighting in Sylvan Lake, AB

West of Red Deer on Highway 11, where the houses face the water and the season runs long.

About Sylvan Lake

Sylvan Lake is a summer town that has quietly become a year-round one, and the lighting problem is different here than anywhere else we work.

Homes near the lake are built to be looked at. Big windows, deep decks, and front elevations designed with the water in mind. A permanent system on a house like that is doing something beyond the holidays — it is finishing the architecture after dark, through a shoulder season that runs from September to May.

The wind is the practical consideration. Anything hung seasonally on a lakeside roofline in Sylvan Lake has a hard life, and most people who have tried it have a story about a strand that ended up in the neighbour’s yard. A fixed channel under the eave does not have that problem.

The newer developments up the hill — Ryders Ridge, Beacon Hill and the streets around them — have the steep-pitch, multi-gable rooflines that this system flatters most. The older cottages closer to the water often want something quieter: a single warm white, low, that reads as part of the house.

Twenty-five minutes west of Red Deer, on the corridor we work every week. Evening and weekend visits are normal here, because that is when people are at the lake.

Common questions

Before you book

How much does it cost?

Every home is different — corners, peaks, and lengths change the design, so we price each project individually and give you one fixed written quote. The design visit and quote are free, with no obligation.

How long does installation take?

Most residential installations are completed in about a day, depending on the size and design of your home. We confirm your timeline with your quote.

Does it work in Alberta winters?

It's built for year-round outdoor use, and winter is exactly when you'll use it most. We design and install with snow, ice, and our freeze-thaw swings in mind.

Who does the installation?

Trained professional crews install every system, and Antler Home Lighting remains your single point of contact from design visit to warranty service.

Do you offer payment options?

Ask your design consultant about payment options during your visit — we'll walk you through what's available for your project. There's nothing to pay online, and nothing to pay before you've accepted a written quote.
